The war on drugs has resulted in millions of people being arrested and incarcerated for nonviolent drug offenses, including those related to cannabis. This has had a disproportionate impact on communities of color, and many individuals with prior cannabis convictions are now struggling to find employment, housing, and other opportunities due to their criminal records.
